Kew Asia team have just finished surveying forests around the village of Windesi. In collaboration with UNIPA and BRIDa we collected herbarium specimens and established permanent monitoring plots in these lowland Intsia and Dipterocarp forests. Highlights include climbing Legumes, many Begonias, a crowned pigeon and leeches ….

As ever we are indebted to Professor Charlie Heatubun, Haerul Arifin, Jimmy Wanma and many at BRIDa and UNIPA. Badan Riset Inovasi Nasional also support us with research permits. It was a pleasure working with Andris, Edu, Costan, Citra, Fani, Agit, Garif and Ayub. We also thank Iman and Agung for driving and Ezra, Audy and Verina for continued support in the lab.
We were hugely supported by folk from Windesi in particular Pak Hermann, Gayus, Arnold, Gabi and Ibu Lili.
