During the BRIDA, UNIPA and Kew New Guinea TIPAs project we have carried out courses on vegetation survey and plant ID both general and specific (Orchids, Gesneriaceae and Legumes). We recently carried out the second R workshop in Manokwari. Twenty-seven participants 13 lecturers and 12 students and 2 government R&D staff got to grips with R Studio, the tidyverse and linear models. Producing new figures from recently collected Papuan forest plot data and carrying out all the cleaning steps that lead on from messy field data.
